Marilyn Maye, Mark Nadler, KT Sullivan Among MAC Award Nominees

The nominations for the 26th annual MAC Awards have been announced. As previously announced, the prizes will be presented at the MAC Awards Show, to be held on March 29 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. Jason Graae will host the event.

The nominees in the MAC Awards Celebrity Artist category are Marilyn Maye, Andrea Marcovicci, Amanda McBroom, and KT Sullivan. In addition, Eric Michael Gillett, Sean Harkness, Mark Nadler and Ricky Ritzel have all been nominated in the Major Artist – Male category, while Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano, along with Terese Genecco, and Julie Reyburn have been nominated in the Major Artists – Female or Duo category.

The nominees for Female Vocalist are Kim Grogg, Janice Hall, Sigali Hamberger, Shaynee Rainbolt, Gretchen Reinhagen, Billie Roe, Jennifer Sheehan, Angela Shultz, and Susan Winter; while Craig Pomranz, Anthony Santelmo, Jr., and Kim Smith are nominated in the Male Vocalist category.

Nominated for Show of the Year are Terese Genecco & Her Big Band, Cast of Thousands: Gillett Sings Carnelia, and The Man in the Long Black Coat: The Songs of Bob Dylan, along with Sondheim Unplugged, which has also earned a nomination in the Variety Production/Recurring Series category and one for director Phil Geoffrey Bond.

The MAC Award nominations for Song have gone to “And I Breathe,” by Joshua Salzman and Ryan Cunningham; “He’s On My Way,” by Robby Stamper and Arianna Rose; “Make It Here,” by Derek Gregor and Sam Carner; “Show Some Beauty,” by Steve Marzullo and Amanda Yesnowitz; and “Summer Fling,” by Jeff Thomson and Jordan Mann.
