Lin-Manuel Miranda to Honor Amber Charter School at El Museo Del Barrio’s 12th Anniversary Champagne Reception for the School

Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda will be the special guest at 12th anniversary champagne reception for Amber Charter School, March 23 at 5:30pm, followed by the school’s students presenting a special production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in El Museo Del Barrio‘s Black Box Theater.

Amber Charter School provides educational opportunity to low-income elementary school students from Harlem and the Bronx. Founded in 2000, the school serves 435 students from kindergarten through 5th grade.

Miranda is a composer, singer, lyricist, and actor. He is best known for the Tony-Award winning musical In the Heights, focusing on the tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan.
