John Ellison Conlee, Jenn Gambatese, Lynne Wintersteller Set for York’s Developmental Reading Series

The York Theatre has announced casting for the next three offerings in its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series: Stranger, Guess Who’s Coming to Seder? and Dirty Little Secret . All readings are free to the public and will take place at The York Theatre at Saint Peter’s with the exception of Stranger which will be presented at The Griffin Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center.

Stranger has music and lyrics by Bruce Hornsby, lyrics by Chip deMatteo, book by John Rando, musical staging by Scott Wise and musical direction by Kimberly Grigsby. Rando will also direct the musical, which will perform on Tuesday, March 20 at 2pm. & 7pm. The cast will feature Terence Archie, Eugene Barry-Hill, Lisa Brescia, Ken Cavett, John Ellison Conlee, Riley Costello, Rosa Curry, Charles Franklin, Lance Guest, Ron Holgate, Rachel Bay Jones, Garrett Long and Karl Warden.

Guess Who’s Coming to Seder? has a book, music, and lyrics by Randi Michaels Block, music direction by Bryan L. Wade and direction by Ted Swindley. It will perform on Wednesday, March 21 at 3pm. Casting has not yet been announced.

Dirty Little Secret: The Secret Life of Loretta Young is written by Joan Ross Sorkin and directed by David Glenn Armstrong. It will perform Thursday, March 22, at 3pm and 7pm, with a cast that includes Josh Adam Davis, Jenn Gambatese, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Lynne Wintersteller.
