PHOTO FLASH: Tammy Grimes, Lee Roy Reams, Marian Seldes at Love ‘N’ Courage Gala

Tony Award-winning actress Marian Seldes was honored at Theater for the New City’s 2011 Love ‘N’ Courage gala, held at the National Arts Club on Monday, February 28. Lee Roy Reams served as Master of Ceremonies.

Performers included Tammy Grimes, the Wendy Osserman Dance Company, Rod Rodgers Dance Company, Bina Sharif, Jean-Claude Van Itallie, and the Pablo Mayor Trio.

Seldes won a Tony Award for her 1967 performance in A Delicate Balance and was the recipient of a 2010 Tony for Lifetime Achievement. Her numerous theater credits include Dinner at Eight, Three Tall Women, Ring Round the Moon, Deathtrap, Equus, Father’s Day, and Painting Churches.

Proceeds from the gala will benefit the theater’s Emerging Playwrights’ Program.
