Jersey Boys Surpasses Oklahoma! to Become Broadway’s 27th Longest Running Show

Jersey Boys has surpassed Oklahoma!, playing 2,213 performances, and become the 27th longest-running Broadway show in history. The achievement was made with the Thursday, March 17 evening performance.

The musical, playing at the August Wilson Theatre, is based on the life story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, and chronicles the lives of a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. With book by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, the musical features dozens of the group’s popular hits, including “Walk Like a Man,” “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”

The company currently features Matt Bogart (Nick Massi), Ryan Jesse (Bob Gaudio), Dominic Nolfi (Tommy DeVito) and Jarrod Spector (Frankie Valli), along with Peter Gregus and Mark Lotito. The cast also includes Miles Aubrey, Erik Bates, Brad Bass, Scott J. Campbell, Kris Coleman, Cara Cooper, Ken Dow, Russell Fischer, John Hickman, Katie O’Toole, Joe Payne, Jessica Rush, Dominic Scaglione Jr., Sara Schmidt and Taylor Sternberg.
