David Yazbek, Jack O’Brien Set for April 11 Event at 92Y Tribeca

Lyrics & Lyricists Downtown will present an evening with award-winning Broadway composer-lyricist David Yazbek at 7:30pm on Monday, April 11 at 92Y Tribeca (200 Hudson Street).

Yazbek will be joined by a few favorite musicians and vocalists for this event, and will participate in a conversation moderated by Tony Award-winning director Jack O’Brien.

Yazbek’s Broadway credits include The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. He has also released five CDs as a singer/songwriter, and performs in venues around the country with his band.

O’Brien has won Tony Awards for The Coast of Utopia, Henry IV, and Hairspray. He directed both Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Full Monty and will be represented later this month on Broadway by the new musical Catch Me If You Can.
