Michael Stuhlbarg will join the previously announced Anna Chlumsky, Lynn Cohen, and Sol Frieder in a staged reading of Israel Horovitz's Unexpected Tenderness, on March 31 at the Bleecker Street Theatre. Terry Kinney will direct the performance, which is the final installment of the Barefoot Theatre Company's 70/70 Project, a yearlong, worldwide festival showcasing 70 plays by Horovitz.

The play examines the relationship between a father and son within the confines of a dysfunctional family. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The performance will coincide with the playwright's 71st birthday and a cocktail hour, with music and surprise guests, to precede the reading.
