Drag star Jackie Beat will bring her new comedy Whatever Happened to Busty Jane? to the Laurie Beechman Theatre, May 19-22. Drew Droege has directed the production.

Inspired by the similarly titled 1962 Joan Crawford/Bette Davis film, the piece centers on washed-up buxom adult video kitten Busty Jane Hardon and her wheelchair-bound brother, Branch Hardon, the original gay adult video “power bottom,” who are living a delusional and dysfunctional life in their black lacquer West Hollywood condo.

In addition to Jackie Beat in the title role and Mario Diaz as Branch, the company features Sam Pancake, Selene Luna, and Nadya Ginsburg. The production also includes videos by Lawrence Elbert and Will Watkins, which star Miss Jonona, Senor Amor, Travis Walck, Keir Reid and The Busty Jane Dancers.
