The program will be hosted by 60 Minutes/CBS News Correspondent Lesley Stahl. The concert will include tune's from the band's expansive repertoire including original compositions by members of the band.
Marsalis is a jazz musician, trumpeter, composer, bandleader, advocate for the arts, and educator who has helped propel jazz to the forefront of American culture through his own artistry and in his role as Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. He was the first jazz artist to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize in music for his work Blood on the Fields.
