Colin Hanlon, Matt Sax, Phoebe Strole, and More to Perform at Ars Nova

Ars Nova has announced programming for its 2009 spring and summer season.

Upcoming featured productions are Mel & El: Show & Tell, May 6-30, written and performed by Melanie Adelman and Ellie Dvorkin, with music by Patrick Spencer Bodd and Moritz von Stuelpnagel at the helm; and Sax & Dixon: We Thee Wed, June 10-27, written by John Dixon, Peter McNerney, and Matt Sax; performed by Sax and Dixon, and directed by McNerney.

The Out Loud Reading Series will feature The Aliens by Annie Baker (April 20), 99 Ways to F*ck a Swan by Kimberly Rosenstock (May 18), and Margie & Josephine by Carly Mensch (June 15). Upcoming in the Residency Encores series are Lance Horne, Or What You Will (April 17) and LPfunK and the Cheerful Colony’s Ithaca (April 15 and 24). The Tragedy Tomorrow comedy series will feature Lucas Kavner: Barnes & Noble, Frisco, TX (April 2), Kristy Hasen: Business (April 16), and Ambrose Martos: Hello! My Name Is… (April 23). The Uncharted music series will showcase Caleb Hawley (April 21), Going… Going… Gwon: Songs by Adam Gwon (June 16), and Pedro Yanowitz: Walking in Soho (June 23).

Upcoming special events will include performances by Eli Bolin and Sam Forman, Bob Odenkirk and John Roberts, Antoinette LaVecchia, and Daniel Zaitchik; as well as a variety show titled Showgasm; and The Sean Mahoney and Creighton Irons Songbook (June 22), which will feature Vadim Feichtner, Carrie Manolakos, Phoebe Strole, and Colin Hanlon.
