Brian Krause, best known for playing series regular Leo Wyatt on TV's Charmed, and Kate Hollinshead will star in the world premiere of Joshua Greenrock and Catherine Schreiber's comedy Desperate Writers: The Final Draft, to play the Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica, California, March 27-May 10, with an opening set for April 4. They replace previously announced cast members Nicholas Brendon and Jennifer Aspen, who had to withdraw due to schedule conflicts.

The show focuses on Ashley (Hollinshead) and David (Krause), a pair of struggling writers who will do anything to get their script sold. The production will be directed by Kay Cole.

The cast will also include Vivan Bang (Carol, Tina, Waitress), Scott Damian (Rick, Wagner, Ed's voice, Home Buyer), Joshua Grenrock (Burke), Stephen Grove Malloy (Jackson, Marty, Zeno, Perspective Homebuyer), Eden Malyn (Nikki, Laura, Sycophant, Wives One and Two), Catherine Schreiber (Jessica), Jennifer Taub (Vanessa), and Andrew Ross Wynn (Goldberg).
