Buckley, Streisand, Travolta, et al. To Be Heard on Scene Stealers CDs

Sony BMG Masterworks will release two CDs, Broadway Scene Stealers — The Ladies and Broadway Scene Stealers — The Men, on Tuesday, April 3.
The CDs, created in conjunction with Playbill, will feature performances by such legendary stars as Betty Buckley, Barbra Streisand, and John Travolta in the Broadway musicals in which they appeared.

The Ladies CD will feature Streisand singing “Miss Marmelstein,” and Buckley singing “He Plays the Violin,” along with cuts by D’Jamin Bartlett (“The Miller’s Son”), Nell Carter (“Get Some Trash for Your Cash”), Jane Connell (“Gooch’s Song”), Randy Graff (“You Can Always Count on Me”), Debbie Gravitte (“Mr. Monotony”), Linda Hopkins (“Deep in the Night”), Susan Johnson (“Ooh, My Feet”), Dorothy Loudon (“Little Girls”), Mary McCarty (“When You’re Good to Mama’), and Debra Monk (“Everybody’s Girl”).

The Men CD will feature Travolta singing “Dream Drummin'” and “Soft Music” from Over Here. Other cuts will include Leonard John Crofoot (“Bigger Isn’t Better”), André De Shields (“The Viper’s Drag”), Ron Holgate (“The Lees of Old Virginia”), Barney Martin (“Mister Cellophane”), Art Lund (“Joey, Joey, Joey”), Austin Pendleton (“Miracle of Miracles”), Lonny Price (“Franklin Shepard, Inc.”), Cyril Ritchard (“Captain Hook’s Waltz”), Swen Swenson (“I’ve Got Your Number”), Paul Wallace (“All I Need Is the Girl”), and Ben Wright (“Giants in the Sky”).
