Douglas Sills, Nancy Anderson, and Jill Paice will star in a staged reading of the new musical Kind Hearts and Coronets at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 6 at Boston’s Stanford Calderwood Pavilion. The reading is part of the Huntington Theatre’s third annual Breaking Ground Festival of New Readings, which runs April 6-9.

The musical features book and lyrics by Robert Freedman and music and lyrics by Steven Lutvak. It is based on the classic 1949 film of the same name about an aristocrat who has been disinherited by his wealthy family and seeks revenge by murdering the eight relatives (all to be played by Sills) who stand in his way of becoming the Duke of Chalfont.

The cast also features Jonathan Hadley, Marilyn Caskey, Bill Gross, Kate Delima, Kent French, Tregoney Shepherd, and Price Waldman. Sills has starred on Broadway in The Scarlet Pimpernel and Little Shop of Horrors. Anderson has starred on Broadway in A Class Act and Wonderful Town, and was recently seen as the title character in the Off-Broadway musical Fanny Hill. Paice was recently seen on Broadway in The Woman in White.

There is a suggested donation of $10 for the reading. Reservations are strongly advised; please call 617-266-0800.
