Tony Danza will star in the musical version of the film Honeymoon in Vegas, which will have a premiere engagement in Toronto in November 2012 before an anticipated Broadway opening in Spring 2013. Gary Griffin will direct the production, which will have choreography by Denis JOnes.

Danza's Broadway credits include The Producers, The Iceman Cometh, and A View from the Bridge. In addition, he has performed at such cabaret venues as Feinstein's at Loews Regency. The actor may be best known for his television work in the popular sitcoms Who's The Boss? and Taxi.

Honeymoon in Vegas features music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown and a book by Andrew Bergman, who wrote and directed the original film on which the show is based.

The show centers on a regular guy with an extreme fear of marriage. After much pressure from his girlfriend, he finally pops the question and they head to Sin City for a whirlwind wedding weekend. But when a Vegas wise guy, Tommy Korman (to be played by Danza), catches a glimpse of the stunning bride-to-be, and notices her uncanny resemblance to his late wife, he does everything possible to break up the romance and get his own second chance at love.
