Mark Linn-Baker, Richard Maltby, Jr., Karen Ziemba, et al. to Join Andrew Gerle for March 27 Joe’s Pub Concert

Mark Linn-Baker, Jimmy Ray Bennett, Pamela Bob, Steven Booth, Kate Fisher, Julian Fleisher, Christa Justus, Richard Maltby, Jr., Cassie Wooley, and Karen Ziemba will be among the performers in Say We Flew: The Andrew Gerle Songbook Release Concert, to be presented at Joe’s Pub on Sunday, March 27 at 7pm.

Gerle, a four-time Richard Rodgers and Jonathan Larson Award-winning composer, will present an evening of songs from his shows Meet John Doe, The Tutor, and Gloryana, plus stand-alone cabaret numbers from his recently-released songbook.

In related news, Leslie Kritzer’s previously reported concert (now entitled Senior Year) has been rescheduled to May 1 and 2, and will no longer perform in April. Newly announced events also include Isengart and the Diplomats: The Importance of Being Elvis (March 25), conceived and written by Isengart, staged by Julie Atlas Muz, with musical direction by David A. Berger.

As previously announced, upcoming Joe’s Pub events also include the Murray Hill Oscar Party (February 27); Tony winner Levi Kreis and Eric Himan (February 28); Andrew C. Call, Kendra Kassebaum, Kyle Dean Massey and others in FOOTNOTES, a joint showcase of Missouri State University graduating students and alumni (March 6 ); Arts and Crafts: A New Musical, with a book by Sandra Bernhard and Justin Vivian Bond, and music by Bernhard, Bond, Lance Horne and Scisssor Sisters’ Jake Shears, and performed by Bond and Bernhard (March 7); and Broadway star Jackie Hoffman’s continued run of her acclaimed show Jackie Five-Oh.
