The show will begin previews at New World Stages on February 18, with an official opening on February 28. Jonathan Silverstein will direct the production.
The play takes its title from the 1950s code word for homosexual, and tells the story of communist Harry Hay (Ryan) and young Viennese refugee and designer Rudi Gernreich (Urie), founders of the pre-Stonewall gay rights organization, The Mattachine Society.
The creative team will include Clint Ramos (set and costumes), Josh Bradford (lighting), and Daniel Kluger (sound).
