Laura Benanti, Kristine Nielsen, John Pankow, and More Set for Why Torture Is Wrong

Laura Benanti, Audrie Neenan, and Richard Poe will join previously announced cast members Amir Arison, David Aaron Baker, Kristine Nielsen, and John Pankow
for Christopher Durang’s Why Torture Is Wrong, And the People Who Love Them, to play The Public Theater, March 24-April 26, with an official opening on April 6. Nicholas Martin will direct.

This world premiere comedy about America’s growing homeland ‘insecurity’ tells the story of a young woman who wonders if her new husband is a terrorist.

The creative team will include scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Gabriel Berry, lighting design by Ben Stanton, original music by Mark Bennett, and sound design by Drew Levy.
