The winners of the 4th Annual International Film Music Critics Association (IFMCA) Awards, honoring achievements in film and television music, have been announced.
Among the winners in competitive categories for original film scores were Alexandre Desplat for The Golden Compass, George Fenton for Earth, Ilan Eshkeri for Stardust, Michael Giacchino for Ratatouille, Alan Menken for Enchanted, Dario Marianelli for Atonement, John Powell for The Bourne Ultimatum, and David Shire for Zodiac.
In addition, the group presented Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman a special award for the film Hairspray, an adaptation of their Tony Award-winning Broadway hit.
