Producers James L. Nederlander, Terry Allen Kramer, Debra Black, and Hal Luftig have announced that the Twyla Tharp musical The Times They Are A-Changin’ will come to Broadway this fall. Specific dates and a theater will be announced shortly.

The show, which features the songs of Bob Dylan, is set inside a dream world populated by the performers of a low-rent traveling circus run by the domineering Captain Arab. It is currently playing at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre through March 19.

Michael Arden, Thom Sesma, and Jenn Colella play the leads; the cast also includes Kevin Bailey, Justin Bohon, Joshua Dean, Albert Guerzon, Charlie Neshyba-Hodges, Doug Kreeger, Marty Lawson, Tamara Levinson, Jason McDole, Jonathan Nosan, Joseph Putignano, Sean Stewart, and Jackie Seiden. The production features scenic and costume design by Santo Loquasto, lighting design by Don Holder, and sound design by François Bergeron.

In his TheaterMania review of the show, Rob Stevens wrote: “Dylan is indeed the poet of his generation, and Tharp has taken songs from his 40-plus year career and breathed new life and vision into them.”
