Drama Desk Panel on Promoting Broadway and Off-Broadway Shows Will Be Held in February

”You Gotta Have a Gimmick…Or a Star!” will feature well-known publicists and theater writers.

You Gotta Have a Gimmick…Or a Star!, a Drama Desk panel discussion about the skills it take to promote a show, will be presented on Monday, February 10, at Stage 72. Randie Levine-Miller, a former publicist and current director of special events for the Drama Desk, will moderate the panel.

Participants in the discussion will include Broadway publicists Susan L. Schulman and Joshua Ellis, as well as theater critic and former TheaterMania contributor Peter Filichia. The discussion will be held from 6pm-7:15pm.

The Drama Desk is an organization dedicated to honoring Broadway, off-Broadway, and off-off-Broadway productions throughout New York City. Founded in 1949 by a group of theater critics, editors, reporters, and publishers, the group presents the annual Drama Desk Awards every spring.
