Maria Dizzia and Greg Keller Will Inhabit the World of Amy Herzog’s Belleville at New York Theatre Workshop

The acclaimed drama will also star Pascale Armand and Phillip James Brannon.

Pascale Armand (Four), Phillip James Brannon (The Cook), Tony nominee Maria Dizzia (In The Next Room), and Greg Keller (Wit) will star in New York Theatre Workshop‘s upcoming production of Amy Herzog’s psychological thriller Belleville, to run February 12 through March 31 under the direction of Anne Kauffman.

Set in the titular bohemian Paris neighborhood, the play concerns Abby and Zack (Dizzia and Keller), a married pair of American ex-pats whose passionate, though rocky, relationship is put to the test after a series of events that lead them to believe they might not know one another as well as they thought. Playwright Herzog’s acclaimed dramas include After the Revolution, the Obie Award-winning 4000 Miles, and The Great God Pan, currently running at Playwright’s Horizons. Kauffman’s many credits include Detroit, Maple & Vine, Stunning, Slowgirl, and The Thugs.

Armand, Dizzia, and Keller appeared in Kauffman’s 2011 world premiere staging of the drama at Yale Repertory Theatre. Belleville marks the second time that Dizzia and Keller have starred opposite one another as husband and wife; also in 2011, they appeared as two couples in Daniel Goldfarb’s play, Cradle and All. Brannon’s theater credits include appearances with Chicago’s Steppenwolf, the Goodman Theatre, and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Armand has also appeared in Breath, Boom, Eclipsed, Ruined, and others.

The creative team includes Julia C. Lee (scenic design), Mark Nagle (costume design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Robert Kaplowitz (sound design), and Jeff Barry (fight coordinator).
