On Stage at Kingsborough Announces Spring 2012 Season

On Stage at Kingsborough has announced the productions set for its spring 2012 season, which will run February-May.

Modern dance company RIOULT will perform with Brooklyn elementary and middle school dancers in Small Steps, Tiny Revolutions (February 4, 3pm). Then, Grammy Award-Winner Billy Stritch will present Billy Stritch Sings The Mel Tormé Songbook (March4, 3pm), a tribute to the legendary jazz singer. Dancers trained at the Mariinsky Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet, and the Tchaikovsky Perm Ballet will perform in Stars of the Russian Ballet (March 18, 3pm). The Paper Bag Players will perform their new show Laugh, Laugh, Laugh! (March 25, 3pm).

On Stage at Kingsborough will present the comedy All Wear Bowlers (April 21, 8pm), which is described as the collision of Rene Magritte, Samuel Beckett, and Laurel & Hardy. Choreographer Paul Taylor’s dance company Taylor 2 will perform a wide spectrum of Taylors works (May 5, 8pm). Four of New York’s fastest talkers tell stories in The Liar Show (May 19, 8pm). Finally, Angelina Ballerina The Musical (May 20, 3pm), based on the CG-animated series, will showcase all kinds of dance in a family friendly show.
