Ryan Murphy, Martin Scorsese, Glenn Weiss, et al. Nominated for DGA’s TV Awards

Director Glenn Weiss has been nominated for a Directors Guild Award for helming the 64th Annual Tony Awards.

Over 35 directors were nominated in numerous catergories for their work in television and commercials this year, including Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead), Mick Jackson (Temple Grandin), Barry Levinson (You Don’t Know Jack), Ryan Murphy (Glee), Martin Scorsese (Boardwalk Empire), Tim Van Patten (The Pacific).

Five film directors were also nominated yesterday for the DGA’s Outstanding Directorial Achievement Award: Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan), David Fincher (The Social Network), Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech), Christopher Nolan (Inception), and David O. Russell (The Fighter).

The awards will be presented on Saturday, January 29 in Los Angeles.
