Ben Vereen to Celebrate Release of Stepping Out Live Album at Town Hall Concert

Ben Vereen’s new CD Stepping Out Live will be released in tandem with his An Evening with Ben Vereen concert at The Town Hall, which, as previously announced, will be held on February 18 at 8pm. Bob Freed and Rich Bomberowitch have produced the album, being released by Ghostlight Records.


The 11-track disc will feature such songs as “Defying Gravity,” “Mr. Bojangles,” “My Funny Valentine,” “Getting To Know You,” and “That Old Black Magic,” as well as a medley of songs that includes “Corner of the Sky,” “Aquarius,” “Hair,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and “I Don’t Know How to Love Him.”

Vereen won a Tony Award for Pippin. Among his other Broadway credits are Wicked, Fosse, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Jelly’s Last Jam, Grind, A Christmas Carol, and I’m Not Rappaport.
