Ivy Austin, Mary Brienza, Russell Joel Brown, David Buskin, Kathryn Markey, Leenya Rideout, and Isaiah Sheffer will star in Symphony Space’s latest installment of The Thalia Follies: A Political Cabaret, to be presented February 18-20. Musical direction will be by Lanny Meyers.

Entitled, Which Way, America?, this edition tackles a range of issues ripe for parody, from New York City’s recent race for mayor to midterm elections later this year. In addition, the second half of the show will feature the world premiere of The Three-Trillion Dollar Opera, an updated take on the classic Three Penny Opera, including songs like “Barack The Knife,” “The Blue Dog Song,” and “Ballad of Fox News Mendacity.” The show will also feature send-ups including an updated version of Fred Astaire’s “Cheek to Cheek” for the new decade.
