Franca Valeri’s Tosca and The Two Downstairs to Receive New York Premiere; Rocco Sisto Provides Voice Over Prologue

Kairos Italy Theater (KIT) and The Cell will present the U.S. premiere of Franca Valeri’s 1978 play, Tosca e le altre due” (Tosca and The Two Downstairs), to be presented at The Cell, February 3-21. Laura Caparrotti will direct the play, in an English translation is by Natasha Lardera.
The piece is a satirical, behind-the-scenes sister-story to Puccini’s Tosca, and will be performed by Caparrotti (Emilia) and Marta Mondelli (Iride) in Italian with English supertitles. The prologue will be acted in voice over by Rocco Sisto. Set design is by Lucretia Moroni.
