Daryl Roth to Receive 2010 Lucille Lortel Award for Lifetime Achievement

The Lucille Lortel Awards Administration Committee and the Lucille Lortel Foundation have announced that producer Daryl Roth will be given the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award at the 25th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards, to be held at Terminal 5 in New York City, on May 2, at 8pm.

The honor is conferred to a theater professional known for their dedication to Off-Broadway. Roth has produced 23 Off-Broadway productions, beginning with Closer Than Ever at the Cherry Lane Theatre in 1988 and including the current hit show, Love, Loss, and What I Wore at the Westside Theatre and the upcoming production of The Temperamentals at New World Stages. Roth is also the Artistic Director of both the Daryl Roth Theatre and the DR2 Theatre in Union Square. Among her other producing credits are six Pulitzer-Prize winning plays: August: Osage County, Anna in the Tropics, Proof, Wit, How I Learned to Drive, and Three Tall Women.
