Sherie Rene Scott will offer a one-night-only performance of her solo show You May Worship Me Now, on Monday, March 31 at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre as a benefit for the Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative. The event, to be presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will be held in lieu of this year’s Nothing Like A Dame benefit.

Previously seen at the Zipper Theater, the show was conceived and written by Scott and Dick Scanlan. It will be directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer and feature musical direction by Tom Kitt. The autobiographical show will feature songs made famous by such icons as Judy Garland, Rickie Lee Jones, Tom Waits, and Mr. Rogers.

Scott is currently appearing on Broadway as Ursula in Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Her other New York stage credits include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, for which she received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Actress in a Musical, Aida, Rent, Debbie Does Dallas, and The Last 5 Years.

Tickets are now available by calling (212) 840-0770, ext. 268 or by visiting www.Broadwaycares.org.
