Michael Feinstein will host A Lovely Way to Spend an Evening, celebrating the music of composer Jimmy McHugh, at Los Angeles’ Mark Taper Forum at 8pm on February 12.

The event is part of the Taper’s long-running Salon Series, which benefits the Center Theatre Group’s ticket discount program. Casting for the evening will be announced at a later date.

McHugh’s songs have been heard in numerous Broadway shows from Blackbirds of 1928 and Singin’ the Blues to Ain’t Misbehavin’, Sugar Babies, Black and Blue, and Never Gonna Dance. His big hits included “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love, On the Sunny Side of the Street, and I’m in the Mood for Love. He was also a founder of ASCAP.

Tickets to the event are $200 and $500. Call 213-972-7654 for more information.
