Actress Irma St. Paule Dies

Actress Irma St. Paule passed away on January 9.

She recently appeared in the Transport Group’s production of All the Way Home. St Paule had previously appeared on the New York stage as the Strega in the Broadway revival of The Rose Tattoo with Mercedes Ruehl and Anthony LaPaglia. Her other Off-Broadway credits included the Classic Stage Company’s 1995 production of Endgame with Kathleen Chalfant, Another Part of the Forest, Owners, and The Angel Project. Her regional credits included Virgil, 1933, Enchanted April, Griller, and The Dybbuk.

St Paule worked steadily in television and film, in a variety of small roles, since 1985. She played Mother Teresa in the film version of Jeffrey and Teresa in the film version of The Cemetery Club. Her other credits included Twelve Monkeys, Party Girl, and In the Blood.
