Behar, David, Quinn, et al. Will Show That Comedy Cares

Comedy Cares II, a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS, will take place on Monday, January 24 at Carolines Comedy Club (1626 Broadway) from 7pm to 9pm. Hosting the show will be MAC Award-winning comedian Jim David, who has appeared on TV’s Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn and Comedy Central Presents in addition to having been a frequent guest in “HomoComicus” at the Gotham Comedy Club.

Colin Quinn himself is one of the featured entertainers on the bill for Comedy Cares II. Joining David and Quinn for the one-night only event will be comedians Larry Amoros, Joy Behar (best known as a co-host of ABC-TV’s The View), Kate Clinton, and Cory Kahaney. Also set to perform are Rick Crom, creator of the revue Newsical (currently playing Upstairs at Studio 54), and members of that show’s cast.

VIP admission to Comedy Cares II is $75, which includes an autographed show poster that will be sent to purchasers after the event. Regular admission is $45. All admission proceeds will go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS. (There is also a two-drink minimum.) Reservations can be made by calling BC/EFA at 212-840-0770, x268.
