Kelly McGillis and Melanie Leis Joined in Civil Union

Stage and screen star Kelly McGillis was joined together in a civil union to partner Melanie Leis on Wednesday, September 15, in Collingswood, New Jersey, according to The New York Times. Judge Robert T. Zane III officiated the ceremony.

McGillis starred in the title role of the 1994 Roundabout Theater Company production of Hedda Gabler, and recent stage credits include a 2009 appearance in The Little Foxes at Pasadena Playhouse. Her many films include Top Gun, Witness, The Accused, and her latest, Stake Land, a vampire film which was screened at the 2010 Toronto Film Festival.

The couple first met in 2000.
