Dermot Crowley to Star in McCarter’s A Christmas Carol

Dermot Crowley will star as Ebenezer Scrooge in the McCarter Theatre Center’s annual production of A Christmas Carol, December 7-28. The show will be directed by Michael Unger, with choreography by Tony Award winner Rob Ashford.

Adapted by David Thompson with music and lyrics by Michael Starobin, Charles Dickens’ timeless holiday masterpiece tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his magical journey into Christmas past, present and future.

The cast will also include Lisa Altomare, Kevin Collins, Richard Gallagher, Karron Graves, Stephen James King, James Ludwig, Janet Metz, Ned Noyes, John O’Creagh, Anne O’Sullivan, Karen Pittman, and Nikki M. Walker. Crowley appeared in the McCarter’s production of Translations, which later transferred to Broadway.

The creative team will include Ming Cho Lee (set), Jess Goldstein (costumes), Stephen Strawbridge (lighting), Brian Ronan (sound), and Charles Sundquist (musical direction).
