Heidi Armbruster, Linda Thorson et al. Set for Guthrie’s Importance of Being Earnest

Full cast and creative team has been announced for the Guthrie Theater‘s The Importance of Being Earnest, to be presented on the Wurtele Thrust Stage, September 12-November 8, with an opening on September 17. Joe Dowling will direct.

Oscar Wilde’s play features carefree bachelors Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff each creating an imaginary character to visit their loves and win their hearts. As previously announced, Linda Thorson, who starred as Tara King on the British television show The Avengers, will play Lady Bracknell, John Skelley will play Algernon, and Nick Mennell will be Jack. The cast will also include Heidi Armbruster as Gwendolen Fairfax, Erin Krakow as Cecily Cardew, Richard S. Iglewski as Rev. Canon Frederick Chasuble, Suzanne Warmanen as Miss Laetitia Prism, and Kris L. Nelson as Lane / Merriman.

The creative team will include Walt Spangler (set designer), Matthew J. LeFebvre (costume designer), Allen Lee Hughes (lighting designer), and Scott W. Edwards (sound designer).
