Tony Award winner Phyllis Frelich and Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin will guest star on CBS’ CSI, according to a report on EW.com. The episode featuring the actresses’ appearance is tentatively scheduled to air on February 3.
Frelich will play the long-lost mother of Gil Grissom (played by William Peterson). Matlin is scheduled to play a protege of Frelich’s character who works with her at a school for the deaf, where a murder has taken place.
Frelich won her Tony Award for playing the role of Sarah in Children of a Lesser God. Matlin won her Academy Award for playing the same role in the film version of the play.
