Stage and screen star Melanie Griffith will join the cast of the hit FOX sitcom Raising Hope, according to Deadline.com.
She will play the mother of Sabrina (Shannon Woodward). The series also stars three-time Tony Award nominee Martha Plimpton and Oscar and Emmy Award winner Cloris Leachman.
Griffith recently appeared onstage in Los Angeles in Scott Caan’s play No Way Around But Through, at the Falcon Theatre, and played the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway.
The actress received an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe Award for Working Girl. Her many other film and TV credits include Born Yesterday, Mulholland Falls, Nobody’s Fool, Another Day in Paradise, Celebrity, and RKO 281.
