Matthew Arkin to Star in Reading of Rinne Groff’s Compulsion

Matthew Arkin, Rebecca Myer, Phil Johnson, and Amanda Sitton will perform in a staged reading of Rinne Groff’s Compulsion, to be presented by North Coast REP in Solana Beach, CA on June 14 at 7pm. D. Candis Paule will direct.

The play centers on Sid Silver, who wants to bring Anne Frank’s story to America, and believes he’s the right man to adapt it for the stage. It is inspired by the story of Meyer Levin, the journalist and screenwriter who helped publicize the existence of Frank’s diary.

This staged reading is a part of the 18th Annual Lipinsky Family San Diego Jewish Arts Festival.
