Ryan Reynolds, Sam Shepard, Denzel Washington, et al. Set for Safe House Film

Actor and playwright Sam Shepard is among the newly announced cast members for the Universal thriller Safe House, according to a report in Variety. The film will star Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington.
The film centers on a CIA trainee (Reynolds) who is transporting a criminal (Washington) targeted by assassins. It features a screenplay by David Guggenheim and will be directed by Daniel Espinosa. Filming is planned to begin next week, with an anticipated release date of February 10, 2012.
The cast will also include Liam Cunningham, Brendan Gleeson, and Robert Patrick.
