Salome Jens to Join Antonio Charity, Bud Cort, et al. for The Birthday Present 2050

Salome Jens has joined the cast of Argyle Road Productions’ presentation of Tania Wisbar’s The Birthday Present 2050, to run March 11 – April 17 at The Skylight Theatre. Jonathan Sanger will direct the production. Jens replaces the previously reported Lelia Goldoni.

The futuristic play, set in a dystopia where every family is guaranteed the essentials and 750 “points” a year to spend on luxuries, or to buy another year of life for a beloved elder whose “useful” time has passed, focuses on a family that has pooled their points to buy another of year in their matriarch’s life.

The company will also feature James Black, Juan Carlos Cantu, Antonio Charity, Bud Cort, Elyssa Davalos, Demetrius Grosse, Cheyenne Haynes, Jossara Jinaro, and Katrina Lenk.

The creative team will include Kris Knekt (scenic design), Jeff McLaughin (lighting design), Lizz Wolf (costume design), Marc I. Rosenthal (video design), and Karen Martin (original music).
