Phyllis Diller, Bruce Vilanch, JoAnne Worley, et al. to Help Celebrate Carol Channing’s 90th Birthday at LA Concert

Tony Award winner Carol Channing will celebrate her 90th birthday at a special Musical Monday Tribute concert, to be held in the lobby of Los Angeles’ Pantages Theater, on Monday, February 21 at 8:30pm.

Phyllis Diller will host, Bruce Vilanch will emcee, and the event will also include performances or appearances by Carole Cook, Davis Gaines, JoAnne Worley, and more, who will share memories and stories about Channing and sing several of her signature tunes.

Channing won the Tony Award for Hello, Dolly! and also appeared on Broadway in The Vamp, Lend an Ear, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She received an Oscar nomination for Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Proceeds from this evening’s benefit will go towards The Dr. Channing/ Kullijian Foundation for the Arts and The Actors Fund’s comprehensive programs and services.
