Harry Kullijian, who co-founded the Dr. Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian Foundation for the Arts with his wife, Broadway legend Carol Channing, died of internal bleeding caused by an aneurysm on December 26 in Rancho Mirage, CA. He was 91.

Founded in 2005, the non-profit Foundation was established to promote arts in education in public schools.

Kullijian and his romance with Channing — which began in junior high school, and blossomed later in life resulting in their marriage in May 2003 — is a part of Dori Berinstein’s documentary film about Channing, Larger Than Life, which will receive a limited theatrical release in January.

In addition to Channing, Kullijian is survived by two children, John Kullijian, and Leslee “Missie” Fennell; five grandchildren, Casey (Gary) Hill, Kelly (Chris) Confair and Tiffany (Sheldon) Epperly; and Jonathan and Thomas Fennell as well as five great-grandchildren.

No funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Channing-Kullijian Foundation, 101 First Street #555, Los Altos, CA 94022. For more information, click here.
