Mark Ruffalo, Ben Gazzara, Jonathan Hadary, Peter Kybart, and Jane Kaczmarek will star in the L.A. Theatre Works production of Clifford Odets Awake and Sing!, to be presented as part of their "The Play's The Thing" radio series at the Skirball Cultural Center, January 13-17. The production will be directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Awake and Sing! compassionately portrays the struggles of a Jewish immigrant family crowded together in a cramped Bronx tenement and laid low by the Great Depression.

The series will continue with The Savannah Disputation by Evan Smith, starring Bruce Davison (February 17-21); The Constant Wife by W. Somerset Maugham, starring Kate Burton, John de Lancie, and Rosalind Ayres (Apil 14-18); Side Man by Warren Leight, starring Edie Falco and Frank Wood (May 12-16); She Stoops to Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith, starring James Marsters and Roy Dotrice (June 16-20); and Doctor Cerberus by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, starring Adam Arkin and JoBeth Williams (July 14-18).
