Judith Chapman to Star in Vivien at Coachella Valley Rep

Stage and television series regular Judith Chapman will once again play movie star Vivien Leigh in Rick Foster’s Vivien, at The Coachella Valley Repertory Theater (CV REP) in Rancho Mirage, California, November 18-20. Elina de Santos will direct the production, which is a fundraiser for the company.

The play is an illuminating journey beyond Vivien Leigh’s triumphs into the madness that tortured her all of her life, as she reflects on her tumultuous relationship with actor Laurence Olivier and her tragic battles with manic depression and tuberculosis.

Chapman currently plays Gloria Fisher Bardwell on The Young and the Restless, and has also appeared in many primetime series and feature films. She has previously played the role of Vivien Leigh in the West Coast premiere of Austin Pendleton’s play, Orson’s Shadow, and starred in Viven earlier this year at Rogue Machine in Los Angeles.
