Glee, Modern Family, Precious, The Good Wife Among Winners of 36th Annual Humanitas Prizes

The 36th Humanitas Prizes, which recognize writers whose work “entertain, engage and enrich the viewing public,” were awarded on September 16 in Los Angeles.

Winners in the TV categories included Ryan Murphy for writing the “Wheels” episode of Glee; Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd for the pilot episode of Modern Family; Liz Brixius, Linda Wallem and Evan Dunsky for the pilot of Nurse Jackie, starring Edie Falco; Robert and Michelle King for the pilot of The Good Wife; and Christopher Monger and William Merritt Johnson for the HBO film Temple Grandin.

In the feature film categories, Geoffrey Fletcher won for the screenplay of Precious, and Anne Rosellini and Debra Granik won for Winter’s Bone.
