Four-time Emmy Award winner and stage veteran Michael Learned will join Mary McDonough for an authors Q&A at the West Hollywood Book Fair on October 2 at 2:15pm. The appearance is part of McDonough’s book tour to promote her new memoir, Lessons From the Mountain: What I Learned From Erin Walton.

Learned played Olivia Walton on the popular television program, The Waltons, winning three of her Emmys for her work on the series. McDonough played Olivia’s daughter, Erin Walton for the entire run of the series, which concluded in 1981.

In the book, McDonough shares intimate, behind-the-scenes memories of Will Greer, Richard Thomas, her two "moms," Patricia Neal and Michael Learned, and all the other Walton cast, crew and guest stars.

As previously reported, stage and screen star Richard Thomas — who played John-Boy on the series — will join McDonough when she appears at Barnes & Noble at 2289 Broadway in New York City on Thursday, September 8 at 7pm.
