Tyne Daly and Delroy Lindo to Star in Getty Villa’s Agamemnon

Tony Award winner Tyne Daly will play Clytemnestra and Delroy Lindo will play the title role in Stephen Wadsworth’s staging of Aeschylus’ Agamemnon, translated by Robert Fagles, to play September 4-27 at the Getty Villa’s Fleischman Theater.

The production will also star Kathryne Dora Brown, Frank Corrago, Burton Curtis, Mark Deakins, Francesca Faridany, Nicholas Hormann, Bellina Logan, Timothy V. Murphy, and Michael Winters. The creative team includes Bruno Louchouarn (original music), Thomas Lynch and Torry Bend (sets), Rachel Myers (costumes), and Stephen Bennett (lighting).

Daly received the Tony for Gypsy, and her recent stage credits include Rabbit Hole and Me, Myself, and I. Lindo appeared on Broadway in Master Harold…and the Boys and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone.
