John Slattery to Host Benefit Performance of L.A.’s Body Politic

John Slattery, a 2008 Emmy Award nominee for his work as Roger Sterling on AMC’s Mad Men, will host a special benefit performance of Jessica Goldberg’s play Body Politic at 8pm on Saturday, August 9 at West Hollywood’s Zephyr Theatre.
Proceeds will benefit the US Welcome Home Foundation for veterans.

The play focuses on a screenwriter who is determined to gain access to Ward 57 of Walter Reed Hospital, where Iraqi war veterans who have suffered cataclysmic injuries are sent to recover.

Slattery’s many stage credits include Rabbit Hole, Betrayal, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and Three Days of Rain. His other film and television credits include Flags of Our Fathers, Desperate Housewives, Charlie Wilson’s War, Jack and Bobby, and Sex and the City.
