Jena Malone to Join Cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Film

Stage and screen veteran Jena Malone has joined the cast of the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, according to published reports. She will play Johanna Mason, a former Hunger Games victor who joins Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) in an upcoming competition that pits previous winners against one another.

Malone has been seen on stage in Doubt and Mourning Becomes Electra. She has been seen on screen in Into the Wild, The Messenger, and History Channel’s Hatfields & McCoys.
