Matthew Jaeger, Shoshannah Stern to Star in Deaf West’s Children of a Lesser God

Matthew Jaeger and Shoshannah Stern will star in the Deaf West Theatre‘s 30th anniversary production of Mark Medoff’s Children of a Lesser God, to run September 6-October 11, with an opening on September 13. Jonathan Barlow Lee will direct.

The play focuses on the conflicted professional and romantic relationship between speech teacher James Leeds (Jaeger) and his profoundly deaf student, Sarah Norman (Stern). The production will be performed so that it will be fully accessible to deaf and hard of hearing audiences.

The cast will also include Brian M. Cole, Rebecca Ann Johnson, Marilyn McIntyre, Tami Lee Santimyer, and Time Winters. The creative team will include John Iacovelli (set), Dianne K. Graebner (costumes), Leigh Allen (lighting), and Benjamin H. Kamine (projections and sound).
