Laz Alonso, Tate Donovan to Star in L.A. Theatre Works’ Lobby Hero

Laz Alonso will join the previously reported Tate Donovan for the L.A. Theatre Works presentation of Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero, at the Skirball Cultural Center, June 15-19. Bart DeLorenzo will direct.

In the play, Jeff is a security guard on the night shift in a New York apartment building. When his supervisor lies in a murder investigation, Jeff’s loyalty is put to the test.

All performances will be recorded to air on L.A. Theatre Works’ syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.

Alonso is a film and television actor best known for his work in Avatar and Jumping the Broom.

Donovan was an original cast member in the Off-Broadway production of Lobby Hero. He recently starred on Broadway in Good People, and is perhaps best known for his role as Tom Shayes in TV’s Damages.
